WHACK A SCORE is a two sided reinvention of Whac A Mole, a childhood favorite fairground game. Two participants stand on either side of the instrument, each with a mallet and four “moles” of their own. A screen blocks their view of the other. The mechanical workings of one side are directly linked to the opposite side (like a see-saw). Each “mole” strikes a specific chime after it is whacked. The result is a game of give and take. A musical score builds as each is able to participate.
